Hello, Your releases are bloatware free and accurate. I understand it requires your time and efforts in making and releasing these lite versions and would love to see some Windows 11+ titles in the future. Thank you

Hello, Your releases are bloatware free and accurate. I understand it requires your time and efforts in making and releasing these lite versions and would love to see some Windows 11+ titles in the future. Thank you Thank you for the review. Windows 11? only if it's LTSC (launching second half of 2024) as the PRO builds right now are a mess due to constant feature changes. Meanwhile expect Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2021 Lite and Compact builds of K LITE OS here in coming months, as most of the feature changes have stopped for that Version.

I discovered by chance these customized versions of Windows LTSC of which I am a fan, and I had always wondered why someone didn't make versions optimized specifically for LTSC... and I found KLiteOS!!!
I've tried them all (!), and I consider the "compact v2" ones to be the best. I really like the idea of using them as a Server/Hypervisor (it was exactly what I had been thinking about for some time) and the fact that they also have the possibility of changing the language (I'm Italian) makes them practically perfect.
Being also a fan of Virtual Machines, I was also trying them with Hyper-V on Windows 11 Pro and, apart from the spectacular footprint, I encountered a couple of small problems. Unfortunately a gen.1 virtual machine has the floppy (mandatory!) and a peripheral "umb\ts_urb_hub" (UMBus Enumerator?) which are not recognized even when trying to install them manually (I have a standard Win LTSC version from which to take the drivers) you can't install them. While I activated all the dialogue services with Hyper-V without problems.
I also tried the recent "micro" version, even "smaller" but on Hyper-V (I haven't tried it on a real PC yet) it doesn't detect many things (video card, network, etc.). Here too I tried to install the drivers manually, and in some cases I even succeeded, but it just doesn't detect the video and the network (the most important ones). Too bad it would have been perfect...
On the wish list I would put an LTSC version optimized for virtual machines (Hyper-V, etc.). You could take the "compact v2", fix for unrecognized devices, and remove the features as well as in the "micro" version (leaving Remote Desktop). A dream...
Anyway, great job and many thanks for your wonderful work.

falkan, Thank You for choosing KLiteOS. Floppy Disk and Portable device Enumerator were removed from the Compact Version as they were found practically redundant. Will be no problem to add it in the future Builds. Hyper-V has also been added and is functioning well. Watch out for the next month's Compact x64. Micro build was built to test the Bare-bone ability of the OS. The level to which i can strip a OS without loosing basic functionality. I had tested the Micro x86 on my Old Dell Latitude E6400 and it was able to retain the basic x86 Lan Drivers. I then had to go Online and install the x86 Display adapter driver for it, but it suited well.

Thank you for the great builds. Please provide Micro x64 builds as well as Windows 11 Micro x64 builds, if possible. I understand that Windows 11 LTSC is due in the fall of 2024, I'm keeping an eye out for it.
Would be awesome to be able to enjoy Windows 11 on old unsupported PC
No hurry, do it whenever you feel like, take months, years, no problem, we are here. I have also suggested your builds on AudioSex forums. Hopefully, more people will enjoy your work. Kind regards

There is a leaked version on the internet archive "Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26100 Enterprise LTSC" if you are curious about it, but obviously it's not been optimised. I'll be waiting for the KLiteOS version before I switch OS.

Hi, i love ultralight builds of windows. But there are a few things where it could be improved: 1 - It doesnt say if ventoy is supported. I know that rufus is supported but it would be WAY BETTER if ventoy was supported. Ventoy unlike rufus doesnt force you to format aka destroy your pendrive EVERY time you wanna try a new build. You can put different builds in the pendrive and try how many you want. 2 - All builds should be multi-language, preferably supporting the 10 most spoken languages in the world, this would solve the problem of ppl constantly asking if the build supports the download of a specific language or keyboard data. I know this will make the size grow bigger but it's a small annoyance to deal compared to having to download the languages every time you try a new build. 3 - It would be nice if the builds came with a folder named crack or activation with the content we love. 4 - It doesnt say if the builds come with DirectPlay already enabled or DirectX9 already installed. 5 - The need to login to use windows is something that should be removed from all builds, it's the biggest if not one of the biggest annoyances of windows 10. 6 - Instead of mega it would be better it would be better if other servers were supported such as 1fichier, send.cm, pixeldrain, megaup, etc. Mega has an annoying limit per IP. 7 - It would be nice to have images of the OS running on real computers instead of a virtual machine showing how much RAM/Processes are active. I was able with tinkering to reduce to 30 processes and less than 700 MB RAM here.

KLiteOS, thank you for all your hard work.
I have a question. What LTSC version would you recommend for an offline Audio DAW PC?
